In the more than twenty years that Cadmium has been part of the meetings industry, one of the problems that consistently comes up is managing speakers. From submissions to mitigation, managing the life cycle of a speaker can be a huge lift. However, you can leverage the power of technology to streamline your speaker management process, taking a huge lift off of staff. Finding a comprehensive, all-in-one solution will streamline tasks for speakers, save time on the planning team, and ultimately lead to an all-around better attendee experience that will be reflected in your post event surveys. This session will take a look at a suite of Cadmium offerings aimed at driving efficiency in the speaker process, while we take a look at how some of our clients have leveraged Cadmium technology to maximize internal resources.
- Attendees will learn steps in the speaker life cycle process.
- Attendees will learn how technology can streamline speaker management.
- Attendees will learn how to effectively communicate with speakers to manage the completion rate of their tasks.

Katelyn Swayne
Product Owner
Cadmium
I was born and raised in a small town in eastern North Carolina. I graduated from East Carolina University and moved to NYC almost immediately following my college graduation. In NYC, I worked predominately in the non-profit industry supporting a variety of communities. I loved my time in NYC and ate my way through all of the boroughs! I decided it was time to be closer to family and relocated to Kansas City in April 2019. Prior to joining the Cadmium team, I worked for an event and association management company. During my time there, I supported a variety of professional associations with their overall management and annual meetings. I started at Cadmium as a Product Specialist on the Education Harvester team and moved into a Product Owner role in Janauary 2022. In this new position, I oversee multiple products including the Scorecard, Harvester, Logistics and Hermes.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my adorable golden retriever, Reba McEntire Swayne, traveling as much as I can, trying local Kansas City bars and restaurants and of course, binge watching all the shows!
